Audition Information

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

Summer Youth Production

Auditions open to anyone age 5-18.

 

Audition Dates:  

Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7 at 7:00pm

 

Auditions will be held at the Basile Westfield Playhouse 220 N. Union Street, Westfield, IN 46074.  Please enter through the right-side doors at the front of the building.  Auditions will be held upstairs.

How to Prepare:

Please prepare a 60-90 second monologue, story, or poem.  Auditioners may also be asked to read selections from the script.  Bring a list of all conflicts from May 19 through July 28.

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals will begin May 20 and will run three to four days a week between Sunday and Thursday.  No Fridays or Saturdays until performance weekends. 

Performance Dates: 

July 18-28, 2024

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 pm. Sunday shows begin at 2:30 pm.

Synopsis: 

This dramatization of C.S. Lewis' classic work faithfully recreates the magic and mystery of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch, and the adventures of four children who inadvertently wander from an old wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten Narnia. The intense action features chases, duels and escapes as the witch is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan.

FENRIS ULF – a wolf, head of the Witch’s secret police

DWARF – a servant to the Witch

FATHER CHRISTMAS – a bringer of gifts

ELF – a helper of Father Christmas
